I can't really compete with Jim or Russ, but I got my first VW in 1977 when I was 15 (65 Bug) and I've owned aircooled VWs ever since, Type 3s since 1987. In order: 65 Bug, 66 Bug, 63 Type 34, 65 Squareback, another 65 Squareback, 62 Type 34.
