Jason, Here is a experience of mine. When I had my motor rebuilt the condensor on the dist. of the 009 would not allow it to fit as it should have; meaning the algin mark on the dist. to be at TDC #1 when the rotor pointed to it. Therefore, it was really at TDC #2. So could be possibly similiar situation? Hope this helps.
