It works very nice as you don't have to worry about dropping any shims inside the engine when indexing the drive. I learned about this trick on the 2nd engine I ever rebuilt, and incorperated it into all the engines I rebuilt after. The big trick is remembering which type of engine you're rebuilding, as I do both type1 and type3s here.
