The tear-down is in full swing so it's a little late to go back now. I got the fan off, I used a harmonic puller. The engine is disassembled. I still need to split the case. I need to get a oil-pump removal tool. The case-half bolts were really loose, as well as the upper head bolts. The books don't say I need to remove the distributor drive gear before splitting.
