Don't be intimidated, just be cautious. The process is straight forward. Your might find getting to the engine bolt on the passenger side a bit awkward, just remove the oil-bath air cleaner first and you'll be able to get to it. I don't think your jack is suitible for the job. The right equipment is, imhop, a must. Borrow, rent, or buy the right tool and your job will be safer and easier. Make sure you support the tranny. I use a jack stand and place it under the rear end (not under the tranny pan). The torque converter will want to come out. Remember to unbolt the torque converter plate before attempting to yard the engine out. I have found that you don't need any special way to retain the torque converter if you support the tranny high enough. A systematic approach will make it easy and understandable when reinstalling the engine. Safety, that's one thing my dad always drilled into my head. I generally will double up on jack stands. I know that's overkill, but I want to enjoy riding around with my little one.
