What an adventure!
At the show I met Eric (Thorkild) and Heather. Heather is thinking of getting
rid of her Fasty so we gotta convince her to finish it up cuz it's almost
done, then she can drive it! I got one pair of Euro tail assemblies with
chrome housings (my '72 came with silver housings) for $30 and a single :-(
late front CLEAR turn signal lens for $5 :-) Also a vehicle interchange tome
for $50. This thing is *sweet*...it's the "6th Foreign Interchange Edition"
of "The Hollander". It covers years '65 thru '81, starting with Alfa Romeo
and ending with Volvo, 28 manufacturers in total! It also includes prices :-)
For example, under 'Axle & Drive Shaft', Side Gears:
M.T. Opt w/posi '69-Dec '71..1725A
Going to index number 1725A gives Side Gears, 211 517 621A '69-12/71 $288. VW
'69-'73 Squareback, Fastback & sdn w/ 1-1/4 ton opt rr w/M.T.& w/posi.
(Note: The abbreviations section didn't have "rr" in it so I'm not sure what
that means).
Okay, after we cruised the show and parking lot we then headed for the two
Fastys, a '68 parts car and a '69 <ahem> driver...
