Thanks, we have to go with a dolly, since they are cheaper to rent.

<sigh> If ya gotta use a dolly then put the front wheels on the dolly
and the car in neutral with the emergency brake off. Make sure you
double-check! If towing an automatic then you need to disconnect the
rear axles, the CV joints at the wheel is easiest and allows you to
easily hang the axles.
