Hi, I just finnished tuning up our newly purchased '73 T3. I was having a problem with lack of power and a strong gas odor inside the car. I gapped the points, checked the dwell, and set the timing. The car is not missing at idle like it was, however, it still just barely makes it up hills and I still smell a strong gas odor when I really step on the pedal. I have a new fuel line and I can't find any leaks. When I first start off the acceleration is very labored and a bit surging. The automatic trans won't go into second gear unless I back of of the gas a bit and then the shift is rough. Any suggestions?
