I played around like this a bit at a junkyard last year -- I found that the A1 Cabriolet rear seat is a pretty good fit in a T1 .. the Mk2 Scirocco seat bottom is a better fit cosmetically (though rather flimsy), but the seat back is too squared-off at the top corners to fit without using a BFH.
