As I zoomed out of Mexico, my generator gave up it's ghost. This was as I was on my way to work on my sister's Jetta that had problems with her charging system, at least my gen light turned on in front of one of our local junkyards; bought it , installed it and and was on my way. The old generator was smoking and melted the electromagnet windings, it was very dramtic, what would of caused this ? A big internal short ? The generator is less than a year old, still had good ,brushes though..
