Fuel crossover valve? This would be in the pump? The pump is original as far as I know, it has the plastic cover. There is no part number though, it has the manufactures name and a crude VW XXXX number stamped on it. It does match the manual assy drawing. I still would like some help on how to identify an "ebay" rebuild kit for this pump. I checked the pushrod length and it is still has the grinding marks on the top, and the lower is evenly worn. I could remove a gasket and get more insertion and check pressure again. I didn't get a chance to do the compression test yet. I thought that removing and installing plugs while hot risked damaging the heads?
