I've been investigating all I can about type 4's :-) I would love to build a big motor - A friend has a 2.8 in his Beetle which was dynoed at 189hp... at the wheels! (through a standard euro 1303S box) I'm a bit of a computer nutter, so I picked the Megasquirt :-) I've got one ordered, and might even get a spare later for our suzuki van :-) Just so I can learn how it works. I fitted Fuel injection to my "Fonzie" van, but it was a little different - It was the Subaru Single Point Fuel Injection (SPFI) that can on the motor I installed :-) Allan W :-) New Zealand 58 Beetle 70 "Fonzie" 70 Squareback ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dan Allum" <dan@nucoda.com> To: <type3@vwtype3.org> Sent: Friday, September 06, 2002 1:26 AM Subject: Re: [T3] FI on a big engine Hi Allan, Cheers for the pointer, I've been looking at different FI systems (Bosch, Mega Squirt, CB etc) to use on my T4 engine and have settled on the K-Jet (CIS) system for the moment. Check out Jake Raby's site for pics of a T4 with Bosch CIS: http://www.aircooledtechnology.com/Home_Page.htm He's also written up his dyno experiences with that particular engine: http://shoptalkforums.com/bbs/NonCGI/Forum1/HTML/003018.html Promising stuff. :-) cheers, Dan '73 Fastback ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
