hi, new user here, you all have good advice and i need help. My 69 Fastback is equipped with FI (runs great) equipped with Auto Tranny (shifts great) and a Heater Booster (gas heater mounted above the auto tranny and part of the overall heat system) the theory for this is the gas heater will turn off as soon as the engine can provide enough heat. Apparently this works very well. I am trying to locate the left elbow that goes from the HE to the fan, but there is a third outlet to an external fan that is mounted above and right of the main air intake boot. This elbow also has a anti air backup flap (or a slot where this uses to mount, I think the flap can be fabbed out of rubber easy enough) If anyone has a part like this, rusty or not, with or without the flap, please let me know, I have a peice of dryer vent as an albow now but have not turned on the Gas heater for fear of possibly overheating without enough air. Also, does anyone have any experience with this heater system? any advice would be appreciated. I am figuring out quickly that this system is very rare.
