<x-charset iso-8859-1> Speaking of engine rebuilding and poor workmanship. Jim, I told you my dist. seemed to be indexed incorrectly. It appears the notch on the dist. to mark TDC for #1 was put at TDC for #2, because the condenser when at TDC #1 is in the way and hits the cooling shroud (dist. is 009). On the stock vacuum units, is the screw hole located in the same spot? I tried to see if there was another place I could place the condenser, but not really. Any suggestions on this? Also, according to the manuals I looked at the slot where the dist. gear slides into in the case while at TDC #1 should be 60 degrees compared to the case split right? It is not, it is more like 25 degrees while it is at TDC for #1. Does this matter really? Was it assembled wrong? If TDC for #1 was at the stock 60 degrees, there would be no issue about the condenser getting in the way. Argghh!
