Yup, the holes I need are in the case.  

I'm actually amazed at how little damage was done to the fan and housing when
the bolt pulled out, considering that I drove it home from Parma like that.. it
was already a "longer" bolt so it stayed more-or-less in place (didn't get 
wedged between the fan and housing).  Just a nice shiny worn-halfway-off head.
