Hello- > I just bought a new stock cam from So. Cal imports. The gear is riveted on > and appears to be aluminum not steel. Is this cheap or less durable? If so > should I use one that is solid steel? I don't want use any parts that will > compromise the life of my engine. All stock VW camgear sets used a steel crank gear and a light alloy cam gear.
