Re: [T3] Questions concerning fuel injection parts
<x-flowed>
Thanks for confirming my suspicion that the temperature sensors and pressure
sensor are fine, Mark. (of course, the PS could be mechanically messed up,
but I don't think so)
The car ran fine (looks good too, I love it) but developed a problem
recently where it will conk out after about 4 minutes, even just at idle.
I have looked at everything pretty much (TS's, PS, trigger points) except
for the fuel pump. I don't have a fuel pressure gauge; I guess it's time to
go buy one.
One more symptom though- if I drive the car, it will make some startling
exhaust noises (exhaust pressure?) and die soon thereafter. I thought maybe
I messed up when I adjusted my valves, but I looked again and I don't really
think so.
As a side note: I found that my valve screws were very hard to turn when I
went to adjust the valves so I ended up switching out the entire rocker arms
on both sides. I have a '70 bus engine someone gave me, so what the heck. I
read an article today that says I should get a feeler guage and make sure
the side-to-side give on the rocker is within certain specs. Does anyone out
there pay attention to this kind of advice?
