Yes, I think you have hit the nail on the head! That is what it seems like,
more something going on somewhere between the gearbox and wheels, rather
than the engine.

I will check that out- I haven't had the joints out yet, so they could
probably do with a check out. I have never had a tranny apart, and they look
complicated in the books. Are they really that bad?
