[T3] RE: Fuel Injector Question...very long

FYI, I found various tests in the "Idiots Guide" for the Pressure
Sensor. Like testing for resistance to ground and sucking on the vacuum
hose to the sensor to see if you can manipulate engine speed. I preformed
all these tests on mine and it seemed to pass, nothing erratic, the
operation seemed smooth.
I set the timing and idle to specs. Now that I have fuel pressure
the idle no longer is too low to make a difference. I tested and adjusted
the Throttle valve switch. The tests on the Air Temp Sensor were
inconclusive, I kept getting a 10 or 1 reading depending on the Rx scale I
used (I'm not very good with the tester). Anyway it runs better unplugged so
I leave it for now. Voltage to the Fuel Pump from the relay was good.
Something curious and most certainly points to the fuel lines and
gas tank. After putting it all back together, the car ran like it has in
the past. Power from start, lots of hesitation on acceleration but then
smooth through 2nd and 3rd. The power was restored from the state in which
pushing on the gas did absolutely nothing. And it seems the only thing that
I did was to add the Fuel Injector cleaner to the tank while it was near 1/4
tank. Now it is almost empty and it is running, not good but much better.
And from most of the responses to my post this was the first suspect of
everyone. So now I will empty the system and replace and clean the lines,
clean the screen in the tank. Is their anything I need to be aware of for
doing this? Any tips, how to's etc.
I checked the overfill hose again and it does have a small crack
near the base where it goes into the body. I might just replace this while
I'm there, how is this done? Do you have to jerry rig a new one?

Thanks for all the help,
