[T3] full flow oiling....

<x-flowed>I have seen people talking about putting full flow systems on their T3's, of 
course modifying the rear hanger to clear the pump outlet.

How much material must be removed for this? It always makes me a little 
nervous to modify anything that has to do with engine/tranny mounting.

Is it possible to remove the stock oil cooler, use one of the plates that 
bolts in that location with the inlet and outlet fittings, then remotely 
mount a filter and cooler?  Is there some reason for not doing it in this 
fashion, thereby negating the necessity of modifying the rear hanger?
