I think what you're trying to remove is called the rear subframe. There are 9 
bolts holding this to the body/pan.  

Starting from the front there is one central bolt in the center point, with 4 
more in a rectangular pattern around this. There are 2 more that screw up 
from below just to the rear of the torsion tubes just inboard of the spring 
plates.  

The last 2 screw down from above; look inside the trunk just inboard of the 
wheelwells, down in a covered opening in the trunk floor.
