It, happens to both my 71's. What also happens is that when I have
the brakes depressed the radio goes off. I've checked my regulator,
replaced the brushes on and cleaned the generators.
Yes there is an aftermarket radio installed, though its definitely not a
high power unit. Very intersting....looks like I need to check out the
wiring diagrams, and see how the circuits are related. Also need to check
out what kind of voltage I have with the headlights, and radio on.
Dont know if the head lights get dimmer over time, as Jim asked.
The only thing I can think of that would stop the blinker relay from working
would be low voltage, not enough to activate the relay. Or possibly the
relay overheating, and sticking.
Ill have to check into it
