 Obviously, my intent is to carefully remove the tar boards so the can be
 reused. But what if they are ruined? Are replacements available? Suggestions

You can buy brand new tarboards from RMMW at a cost of about $20 per 
tarboard. You buy them for a bug and cut them to fit a Type 3.
