<x-charset Windows-1252>Since having my clutch replaced last July, I have had an odd situation with the idle. When starting, the idle would appear normal, but whether I started off down the road or let the car idle in the driveway, the idle would INCREASE rather than decrease as the engine warmed. There was no tuning work done to the engine at the time of the clutch replacement. To diagnose what was happening (with my limited time and 1600DP with dual carbs knowledge), I adjusted the valves, points and static timed the motor (all of which was way out of adjustment) and although the car ran better, the idle was still seemingly out of control. The challenge Jim, if you choose to accept it: why does the idle increase as the car warms up and then remain at a high idle? FYI: I have fixed the issue and my Square is now a JOY to drive!
