I took the Fastback out for a nice long run with the VW club today, and it went really well, I am pleased with the performance of the engine, and the way that the car rides in general compared to my Beetles. Now onto my question, I replaced the front tyres just after I got the car, because they were both badly worn bald on the outside of the tyres, with some tread still left on the inside. Also the car pulls slightly to the left when driving along a straight road, so I suspect that it needs a front end alignment. Before I take it to get the alignment however, are there any parts that could have gone bad to cause the tyre wear that I had? I notice that the wheels seem to have a lot of positive camber on them (tops of wheels are out, bottoms are in) and this is more pronounced when the wheels are turned to full lock. Is this normal or could something be set wrong in there?
