Re: [T3] New listee, new T3-Brake Hydralic Q

<x-flowed>> I tugged the old girl home last night, just getting legal title
tonight. Brakes are super grabby on the rear, we could barely push her.

I'll bet your rubber brake hoses are collapsing internally. This will make the hoses behave like check valves, not allowing the fluid to leave the calipers or drums as freely as it should. Replace all of these hoses first thing. The right rear is hardest to find. Raybestos makes one that is *almost* the right length (just a bit long, but works OK).

What is correct manufactureer, or sutaible replacement by another (year
ranges?) for the MC and brake cyls for this car?

I think the only OEM is ATe. I think rear cylinders and MCs are still readily available. Replacement calipers are out there, but they are not OEM. I have had good experience in rebuilding the cylinders. One day I'll try to rebuild calipers, but if you don't want to, work out a deal with Jim A. to do it. He does very fine work.

By the way, As part of the fuel system clean-out procedure, look under the right front fender just behind the fuel filler pipe. There you are almost certain to find a ~1" diam. hose that is at least partially disintegrated. (or could be that it's missing altogether..). Replace this part with something. You may not be able to find the correct replacement part, but creative use of common hardware store items will suffice. This hose is an overflow, which will admit a lot of water and crud into the fuel tank if broken or missing. Very common fault.
