I understand that this is the way that all the BeetleMex engines have been 
made for a number of years. I agree that it seems flakey, but if it works.... 
Still, can't you just imagine that rubber plug shrinking in a cold Iowa winter 
night, like the Mexican engineers never dreamed of, and then falling out.  8-0

I'm "glad" to hear that. There were claims on RAMVA, by people who should 
have been knowledgable, that these plugs never got damaged, so I'm 
pleased to hear that my speculation was right.
