<x-charset iso-8859-1>I use "Reply All" and delete the original author, thus leaving the Type 3 Mailing List (or whatever the author named it) email addy. Just using "Reply" for me will just return the author (in this case it would be Jim since he sent this message). Also, don't include the author's email addy along with the Type 3 email addy unless they specifically want you to. Many of us get the instant email and not the digest so all that ends up happening is we get duplicate email which is rather annoying to me. If the subject of the message should change during conversation sometimes it's okay to change it to the conversation at hand but include the old subject. For an example, notice that I changed the subject like of this message (taken from SouthPark and I'm teasing, I don't think you're stupid :) but kept the original subject line so people know where to follow the thread AND I kept the [T3] in there as well because some of us have email filters that look for it and put the message in a separate folder.
