For the vacuum advance that goes on the dual (mech/vac) advance
dists, you need a vacuum source that gives you vacuum when you
want advance. You want advance when the speed is high and the
load is low. At idle you want NO vac adv.

If you think about it, or even measure it, you will find that your
manifold vac is high at idle, so this would give you advance at idle
that would go away when cruising, which is EXACTLY the opposite
to what you want.

This is a 68 FI dist. All FI dists use the same rotor. The one you
have is probably right. Yes, it probably rubs the Pertronix a bit.

This is a Brazilian part #. The ones I have seen use a paper filter. I
know that Berg carrys the filters. This probably means that your
carbs setup is all part of a Brazilian made set, rather than being
actual parts off a 67 engine. I don't know what differences there
might be, if any (other than the lack of the oil bath.)
