<x-charset iso-8859-1> Im certainly not heated... and a quick click of the delete button and my opinions are *poof* gone! I think the proverbial banana in the tailpipe here is the heads... porting them would be needed to really increase flow significantly. If JAKE is saying say 7-8 HP increase, I would say,, maybe, but your Solex's can do that fine.. Im running 1 jet size up on the Notch with its Stock carbs and Im probably in the range of 80-90HP but with alot of other mods. ` In my less educated days I ran slip-in 88's with higher CR in the square, and in its short life Id say I had 5-10 HP more... I barely noticed it. But please let us know how it feels if you decide to go for the better exaust and aftermarket carbs. Keith > a well flowing exhaust and proper ignition tuning would increase HP numbers slightly more than 5HP and I don't know about you, but i'm quite positive that on a 65HP engine, even 5 extra ponies would be very noticable. I love a good debate, hate an arguement. > Let's keep it real and remember even if it does get heated at times, it's all for the betterment of our cars. > > Marc > 1967 Fastback...maybe stock, maybe dell's.. ;) > > > > > > > > Is your boss reading your email? ....Probably > Keep your messages private by using Lycos Mail. > Sign up today at http://mail.lycos.com > > ------------------------------------------------------------------- > Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe > > </x-charset>
