<x-charset iso-8859-1>Okay, part of my problem was legitimate, but part of my problem was me just being a dufus. Problem one solved: My points were bad - not closing completely. Problem two solved: My distributor cap-to-coil wire was reversed (no wonder I wasn't getting any spark by "grounding" the wire against the engine. : P She still doesn't have very much power, which is frustrating after the rebuild. Tonight I will do a compression check to make sure everything went hunky-dorie with the rebuild. If the compression check comes out okay, I will likely have her towed to a local shop for carb tuning, diagnostics, etc. If the compression check comes back unfavorable, I'm going to pull the engine and bring it to a professional in Arlington, TX to "break down, inspect and rebuild." Let's hope the compression check comes out okay.
