<x-charset iso-8859-1> along the same lines as the grease thing in a pinch anything that is hollow that must be tapped into but must remain swarf free inside can be filled with greasy string of a reasonable thickness and then fill the last bit with grease so the hole is completely closed under where you will tap it out then after you finished a pair off tweezers (from the wife's vanity cabinet ;-) ) pull out the string . i have done this on one of our old petrol engine light tanks in the field with a 4.2ltr 6 inline engine to get it going on all six again as to weather id do it on something i owned myself i don't know all i can say is the thing was still running ok when we converted all our engines to diesel ! 1966 typ 3 sqr with fitted irs pan. soon to run 2ltr + typ 4 power. off the speedo in germany if i can. ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org </x-charset>
