<x-charset iso-8859-1>First... DONT put AC on it!!  Second.. if you MUST, DONT use the original
York compressor OR the R12.  Check out the last 3 or 4 editions of VW trends
as they have a very informative article on what your options are for AC on
the AC cars.

the original compressor mounted on the engine.  I am scratching my head
trying to figure out how it fit into the engine compartment.  BTW, I do not
seem to have the compressor in the many boxes of parts I recieved with the
cars, but all the rest of the componets are there.  I am currently working
on restoring the engine and was pondering the A/C installation.  Thanks for
