<x-charset iso-8859-1>First... DONT put AC on it!! Second.. if you MUST, DONT use the original York compressor OR the R12. Check out the last 3 or 4 editions of VW trends as they have a very informative article on what your options are for AC on the AC cars. I have 2 Sq. Backs (1971 and 1973), and have a question about the factory installed A/C. Does anybody have pictures of how the original compressor mounted on the engine. I am scratching my head trying to figure out how it fit into the engine compartment. BTW, I do not seem to have the compressor in the many boxes of parts I recieved with the cars, but all the rest of the componets are there. I am currently working on restoring the engine and was pondering the A/C installation. Thanks for the help. > > Thomas > > ------------------------------------------------------------------- > List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org > > </x-charset>
