<x-charset iso-8859-1>I've been talking to a couple of people whose opinions I respect about the Abarth systems. What they tell me is that the design makes a great sound (at least on the Typ 1, no one's heard the Typ 3), but actual effect on performance is measurable but not significant. I'm told this is because of the cross-flow design, not much different from that of the stock systems, which impedes flow to buy noise reduction. Anyone else have an opinion on this? I've been working with these guys on a design for a Typ 3 performance exhaust. Has anyone come up with a design that: - extracts properly for a larger engine - does not hang below the engine or rear apron, and - does not intersect or harm the intake bellows? I'd love to hear ideas. Steven Ayres, Prescott AZ '66 Grosse Karmann ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much?
