RE: [T3] Late model Rust Repair

As usuall, your all over it!! I have worked on the only rust in the car
which is down low in the front of the rocker where it goes under the front
fender and had the fender off. Since the fine VW AM radio doesn't seem to
work anyway except for providing an extra dash light, I didn't put the
antenna back on and will bet that is the problem.

you da man!

Thanks again, I'll fix it and drive in the rain. Then I can tell for sure
that's what's happening.

Still have an issue with water getting into my rocker and coming in the heat
vent by my foot. Just a very little but not sure how I'm going to get that
fixed. Do they make replacement rocker sheet metal I could weld or have
welded in?

Bill.

Yes. If it only happens while driving, and if you find a lot of water on the
floor
also, then check to see if there is a sealing grommet where the antenna wire

passes thru the inner fender wall to the inside of the car. This was left
out of
a lot of cars and this will spray a LOT of water inside in a heavy rain.
