I would try a NEW set of plugs. Cleaning with a wire brush can leave metal tracks on the insulator which can make the plug break down. I don't think this is usually temp dependent, but it's a cheap & easy thing to try. I don't care for the tank coatings. I don't have any direct experience with them but there are some fine structure details inside the tank that a sealant could plug up. Do you have these same problems when the tank is actually more than 3/4 full? Have you checked the fuel pressure? Is the tank venting system clear so that air can get into the tank as gas is being used up. > Okay, the other fact is I don't have a Bentley (Amazon was out of stock so I > cancelled order) and I am not buying one this week... so knowing that I am > only armed with the awful Haynes... ideas? I still have 1 good used Bentley here, with the color wiring diagrams that the new ones no longer come with. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
