<x-charset iso-8859-1>It's been a while since I had to fight a situation like this, but if memory serves me well, there is a bit of a flat skirt around the case end of the cylinders. Using a chisle and a rubber mallet, and leaning the chisle as close to the case as possible so that you will be pushing the cylinder away from the case more than trying to cut into the cylinder you may be able to walk the cylinders off the pistons. Be gentle but forceful. It sounds like the crank may have welded itself to one of the main bearings, but it is also possible it is a rod bearing that has become welded to the crank as well. What noises were being make before the final gasp? Have you tried draining the oil (if any is actually left in the motor)? The head came off easily compared to the cylinders. Joe ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
