As earlier mentioned my auto transmission clunks up and downshifting from 1st to 2nd and vise versa. I have as advised by Russ checked for looseness of the mounting nuts. I have tightened the two lower nuts holding the tranny to the motor. Can't seem to find the exact torque these should be, I also checked the forward mounts and found them tight. My problem is where are the other mounting nuts to the motor and how do you get to them? While I was under there I found that the modulator vacuum hose was a little loose. I pulled it off and a small amount of oil came out. It seemed like engine oil not x-mission oil. I drained this and did not observe any x-mission oil leaking from the modulator valve itself. I have replaced the vacuum line and tightened the clamp. It does seem to be doing less clunking but still seems to shift too hard into 2nd.
