Low compression on one cylinder. There are actually 3 things that 
can cause this, however.

Bad rings will, but can be sealed somewhat by squirting some oil 
in the cylinder and then redoing the test. If the compression 
recovers then the rings are probably at fault.

Loose cylinder studs will also, but you can usually check at least 
the lower ones with a wrench.

If you have bad compression that oil won't cure and the studs all 
seem to be tight, then the most probable cause is a bad valve.
