All you are doing is setting up the magnetic fields in the metal core of the armature. I did run into a locally rebuilt T-3 generator one time, that shop had had it on their test stand, and had polarized it backwards. It drove me up a wall, because it wouldnt charge. I took it back to the shop, and they tested it and said it was good. Come to find out, they were spinning it backwards on their test stand. -- Russ Wolfe '71 Fastback AT '66 Fastback MT (IT RUNS) russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org </x-charset>
