<x-charset iso-8859-1>Looking at the engine from the back of the car, no. 1 is the furthest away on the right, 2 is nearest on the right, 3 furthest on left, and 4 nearest on left. 1-4-3-2 is correct for all VW 4-cyl aircooled, but you have to call the cylinders the correct numbers! 3 1 4 2 The numbers are embossed in the tinware.
