Or if the car had been an import, even post '68 would probably not have
them. In most European countries it's actually illegal to display a
non-white light to the front other than the indicator/ flasher (except
France where they had yellow headlamps). The US-style flashing brake-light
at the rear is also illegal, which leads to a bit of extra work getting
imports to be road-legal here.
