Yes, but the solenoid connection was only there in 72 and the last 
month of 71. These are the cars where you can miswire the starter 
and make the FI run rich. This is mentioned in the Bentley manual, 
although they don't mention that the late 71s are also affected.

My box does allow me to run the starter and start the car, but only 
on those 13 months of production. Within that production window, 
it IS useful for setting the dwell.
