I would expect such a noise to be of higher frequency than the *tok* I hear. Do you think I can safely rule out an internal engine problem based on the results of that "standing load test" and the fact that I've heard that noise only going up a steep hill? There are no odd sounds at idle or while decelerating, no flat-land acceleration problems, no green light flickers... I guess I'll listen more carefully for the CV possibility.
