Mike&Barry=> stop running while I was driving. ... => she wouldn't crank ... => the wire ... was not attached to the coil ... => it just turned and turned but wouldn't start.... Jim's right, we don't have enough information here. Your reference to a sensor implies that your car is fuel-injected (although I don't know what your 'fuel sensor' might be), and it's obviously not an automatic, but that's about all I can infer in terms of context. Tell us more. The wire falling off previously implies that your wiring needs attention in general, so I'd advise that you go over your connectors, cleaning and tightening. Don't neglect your ground straps. If this has only happened once, you've got vanishingly little to go on, but the dying without warning points me to an electrical problem first, likely a loose connection somewhere. First place to look would be the various connectors on the starter. And just for the sake of clarity, we generally use 'crank' to mean the starter turning the engine over. => I heard that it is really bad for the car. That's nonsense, unless you're pushing it forward and slip it into reverse by mistake.
