Hmmm, I don't think I've ever noticed damage like you describe from the anchors, but I understand what you're saying. These anchors came with 72-3 type 3s and 72-on type 1s, so yours have been changed. The rigid center anchor was used from 68-71. The flexible anchors were introduced in 72 with the retracting seat belts. You can certainly restore this to its original state, but you will need to install the early style belts as the late belts will not fit in the early anchors. I should be able to come up with all these parts, but I would have to check.
