If we're talking about USA gallons at 70 mph, I agree 35 mpg sounds high (28 to 30 mpg US would seem more likely). Driven more gently on fairly level roads I wouldn't say it's out of the question though. I've never driven mine on a motorway (highway) at 40-50 mph to see! Dave.
