John, Are the other two script holes side by side (horizontal)? or are they one on top of the other (vertical)? I have a '64 square the the scripting reads: Volkswagen Variant S However, I'm lacking the 'S' and have been for some time. I don't know if that sheds any light. Anyone out there have an extra 'S' script?????? -----Original Message----- From: john raviolo [mailto:vwfasty@yahoo.com] Sent: Friday, May 11, 2001 9:52 AM To: type3@vwtype3.org Subject: [T3] 69 fastback rear script- third line? Hello all, New to mailing list from Northern Illinois. I have been reading them for a week or two. I just drove a 69 fastback FI AT from Oregon, home to IL. Trip went great, car ran 70-75 MPH most of the way. This car brings me back to my high school years, when a drove and partially restored a 65 bug. Anyway that was 15 years ago. Now I have myself a new hobby, with what should be a basis restoration (staying original, as the car is mostly that way already) of a car that is pretty solid. 2200 miles in 4 days should attest to that! Thought I would start my questions on the lighter side. The badges still on the back of my car are the Volkswagen, and just under that is the Automatic scripting. My question is there is two more clip holes under the Automatic badge? I have looked through the available literature scanned in all over the Net, as well as through gallary photos of a lot of Fastbacks. But I have not found one with 3 lines of anything still attached? My best guess is that is just a line? Any insite, to what is missing would be great, Thanks PS. my first real task is going to be cleaning out my fresh air vents, but I do not think I will use my garden hose : ) John Raviolo Fox River Grove, IL 69 Fastback FI AT __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
