Yes, this will give you the correct adjustment. There is SOME chance that your pump will deliver enough flow to do this, but that it can't deliver enough to keep the pressure up when driving. In this case the engine will lean out under load. The fix for this is usually to replace the filter, or replace a kinked hose.
