[T3] Dark Days

Greetings, all.

I hope this finds you all well; I've been gone for
quite a while, but I've not forgotten you. Now,
sadly, the time has come for me to part with an old
friend. The recent crash in the tech market has left
me without employment (for a month now), and I've got
to get rid of debt this month, or I'll start having to
call lawyers and things.

That being said, I'm making it known to you all first
(before the classifieds in the local papers); my 1971
Variant is for sale. She still has the original FI,
though I suspect that the motor is one year off,
either way; as the distributor doesn't sit quite as
nicely as I'd like. Due to rampant stupidity a few
years ago, she got new Brazilian P&C's, heads and a
few other goodies. The car is stock; the PO put blue
cloth/vinyl seats in my KS beige baby, and it
desperately needs a headliner, and some window gaskets
(and a windshield). She's an AZ car, all her life,
there are some pinholes in the pan under the battery,
other than that, she's solid. Tires are good, almost
new.

Problem is, I don't really know what she's worth. I
see the crazies at the shows wanting $5000 for their
stock beaters; but I just want to be fair. I'd *like*
to get about $1250 out of her, as that's about 75% of
what went into her for the engine parts (and tires);
but you all tell me.  She has baskets of miles on her;
probably 155K, but again, the top-end has maybe 5K.
She runs, but is not registered.

She lives in Tempe, AZ; right off the ASU campus.
Please forgive if this is posted in the wrong place; I
just wanted to offer her up to people that would
appreciate her, before I sent her to the Republic's
classifieds with the chaff.

Yours aye,

James
